Looping around the long and narrow Bras D'Or loch can be circumnavigated by using the car ferry at Little Narrows from Iona island that runs back to Canada Highway 105 about 10 miles south-west of Baddeck. The ferry runs on a large blue nylon rope strung across the Narrows and it is a one-young-lady efficient operation - she is captain, fare collector, parking director, tourist info expert, smiling face and happy greeter! What a joy!
