The state park Pacific Ocean beach south of Pismo is open for miles and miles to OHV - off highway vehicles and other transportation devices ancient and modern!! California (more so than any other state we have visited) does a great job of meeting the full and extreme variety of activities its citizen desire by providing dedicated areas all over the state at next to no charge. I'm thinking beach chairs, umbrella, cocktails and picnic for sunset dinner one evening this week...
